I’ve been hanging out in hotel rooms now for a week. We were in Sacramento Sunday through Thursday, in San Francisco Thursday through Saturday, and Today (Saturday night/Sunday morning) we are in Vacaville, California.
In Sacramento, the family visited the relatives and basically caught up with people we haven’t seen in years. I hadn’t been here since 1999, and it was really good to see everyone, especially the cousins and such.
In San Francisco, we visited the city, had some good food, and did some touristy stuff. The hotel we stayed at was fine, nice place, and I must say that it’s good to be staying in 2 rooms instead of one.
Now, Vacaville, on the other hand, is, uh… outlet malls. That’s what is here.
Hmm. It’s 3 in the morning and some sitcom with John Ritter is on USA. Strange. There’s a bunch of people in it I don’t recognize any of the other actors, except that one looks and sounds like Billy Bob Thornton, but isn’t.

Now we’re in California. It’s been somewhat fun so far. I actually got an exit row seat for the long leg (Atlanta to San Francisco). *SO* much better, so much legroom. So now I am sitting in the hotel, doing what? Getting on the internet, of course.

Man, this is weird. I think 8 light bulbs have burned out in my apartment in the last 24 hours.
Oh well.
I am leaving today for Norcross, then Newnan, and then off to the airport Sunday. Sunday I fly to San Francisco / Sacramento to see my relatives. I will return the 31st. I am sure I will post pictures or something.

Ah, the weekend.
No, specifically, the weekend after my last final. How relaxing. We went to the PWC Holiday Party and generally had a good time. Those accountants know how to treat each other right!

Price Waterhouse Coopers Holiday Party tonight…. Gotta get my clothes from the dry cleaners. It should be fun, though. (This is, of course, a privelage garnered by Heather, not myself.) Before the party, though, I have to take a final exam in Web Programming (8:00am) and go to Atlanta for a meeting (2:00pm). At any rate, it’s a busy day.

Here’s a picture from and a link to the latest album from our Thanksgiving trip to Chicago.

It’s finals week and I am super busy. There’s a new photo album thing I’m experimenting with at http://public.fotki.com/gvonk/. Enjoy all the fun pictures and leave comments if you want.
I leave you with a great list of rebukes to anti-war arguments. Ya know, when I read these, it makes me wonder how people get so convinced of certain things without thinking. But, then, my opinion is not the only one that matters in the world. I recognize that.

Why is the international symbol for “Restroom” a picture of a wheelchair? I’ve always wondered about that one…

Let’s see– I’ve been really, really sick. I was at my worst the beginning of last week, and have slowly been recovering, but I still have a horrible cough a very congested head. My nose is running too. It’s strange, but I’ve had several bloody noses. No, I didn’t get in a fight. Could be the weather change, I guess.

Heather and I went to Chicago to see my family for Thanksgiving. We definitely had a good time, but it was more than a little cold there. I do love cold weather, though. Snow was on the ground most of the time we were there, and some days, it never got above freezing. Coooool.

The semester is winding down and the concomitant rush to finish my schoolwork is upon me. I suppose a good euphemism for my study habits is “Deadline-Driven.”
