Whatever happened to Hey Ya!? Nobody plays it anymore…

Friday was good, besides not feeling too well in the morning– the holiday party was lavish as usual, and there’s always hours of entertainment in wandering around, people-watching and feelin’ the season.

So, we weren’t feeling the last-minute-camping vibe, so we opted for Ocean’s Twelve and ice skating at Centennial Olympic Park on Saturday instead. Only there was a two hour line for skating. I’m not waiting two hours to get someone else’s athlete’s foot and gigantic bruises on my arms from slamming into the wall.

So, it was wings and Pabst Blue Ribbon at Moes & Joes, in the Highlands near Skippy’s place. This is an awesome bar. They only serve beer, and PBR pitchers are plenty cheap. Good wings too. Though I am somewhat against any establishment operating in this century not accepting any form of credit card or check, all was forgiven when I tasted their delicious (ultra-cheap) wings.

Back to work. I can’t imagine this being a short week, with the vacation-anticipation taking over and dragging out the days.

So, Heather and I have good news about which we’ll be able to elaborate soon. (No, we’re not pregnant. That ain’t happenin’ for years, folks). It’s awesome going into the new year with so many good things going for us. I love living life no matter what happens, but good things happening make one even more fabulously happy to be alive and to live in a world where life is exactly what you make of it.

I’m taking December 18-27 off to head down to Jupiter and spend Christmastime with the family.

We’re off to the PricewaterhouseCoopers Holiday Party at the fabulous Grand Hyatt Buckhead! Then it’s camping tomorrow and a potluck dinner Sunday with the folks from grad school.
