This Terri Schiavo thing has gone further than any rational mind could have predicted, but I did appreciate the following quote from Libertarian Outlook:
So, it appears that the conservative Republicans who claim so much respect for the Rule of Law are just as quick to disregard that principle when it suits their purposes.

David and I discussed this on the way to Wichita, and we were both completely outraged by the conservatives’ behavior–but then, they’re showing their true colors. As David put it, they hide behind the guise of upholding and promoting the Constitution and showing respect for our forefathers, etc. etc. etc., 99% of the time, but this case has undeniably revealed that the only document to which they truly adhere–the only one they truly hold as sacred, as important. as the document upon which our society should be established–is not the Constitution, but the Bible. It’s plain as day.

Oh, and the whole “sanctity of marriage” thing is really being held up too. The man is her legal guardian. His guardianship of her has been challenged and upheld in court.
