In Anticipation
Here are a few things I’m excited about this fall…
- Halo 3 - Duh. After playing the multiplayer beta and following every tiny tidbit of Halo news I could find on X3F, the most anticipated video game of all time is pretty high on my list. I even violated two of my self-imposed rules by A) pre-ordering the game at B) EB Games, but I don’t care. Come September 25th, I’ll be right there in line with the teenagers waiting to unwrap my cat helmet and play all night. Also–I have a Halo 3 party planned with several friends that night. I’m obsessed.
- Trip to Reno/California - Heather and I are heading to Northern California in October to visit my grandparents out there and do a little sightseeing. We happened to find a great price on a flight through Reno, so we’ll probably spend a day in Lake Tahoe, as well.
- Futurama - As far as I can tell, Futurama will be back on TV toward the end of this year or early 2008. It can’t come quickly enough for me. Yes, I saw the Simpsons movie, and it was great, but I’m at least equally excited for new Futurama after all of these years of repeats on Adult Swim.

There are several good games coming out this year for the 360: Call of Duty 4 (Which I must say, although I’ll wait and see firsthand, early content looks like the graphics could be even better than Halo 3.) Also Guitar Hero 3 & Rock Band. I’m even excited about the new Tiger Woods. GTA4 & Mass Effect both look really good, too, but I think I’ll be MORE than busy enough. Basically beginning in Sept my life, at least for a little while, will belong to Microsoft / Bungie.
Are you looking at getting any of these games or perhaps any others?
Oh, and I’m VERY excited about Futurama… and boondocks!

Call of Duty: I never played CoD3, but I do like where the series is going. Probably a rental.
Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band: YES and YES. I’m particularly worried about the cost of these, but alas *sigh* I don’t really have a choice.
GTA4: I forgot about this one. I’ll definitely pick it up. I played the hell out of San Andreas on the 360 and that wasn’t even a next-gen title.

Hooray for new Futurama… I have to say, I like it 100000 times better than the Simpsons.

The Simpsons is still my favorite, but Futurama has a special place in my heart because of the type of humor employed. Uh, I can have two favorites, right?
